Medicine Hat College Library Services has added two new databases to our collection. The new resources are:
- Bowker's Global Books in Print. This is a resource that lets you search for bibliographic information for "more than 12.5 million in-print, out-of-print, and forthcoming books, audio books, and videos". The database also contains more than 2.2 million professional reviews.
- Xreferplus. In this resource, you will find more than 200 reference books (atlases, dictionaries, encyclopedias and general fact books). There is something for everyone in this database. A sample of the subject matter includes: art, business, criminal justice, design, fashion, literature, medicine, and the sciences.
Both are available for on campus and home access. Access to Xreferplus is made possible due to our partnership in the Lois Hole Campus Alberta Digital Library initiative.
You can see a complete list of our latest databases and trials by clicking here.
From October 13th to 26th, ProQuest will be granting Canadian libraries a trial to five databases in honour of Canadian Library Month. The databases that are available for trial are: CultureGrams, Ancestry Library Edition, ProQuest Family Health, The Globe and Mail, and The Toronto Star - Pages of the Past.
Two of the major databases on trial are the The Globe and Mail, and The Toronto Star - Pages of the Past. Each is a fully digitized and searchable database that contains their complete printed collections since 1844 and 1894, respectively.
