Library Jobs for Students - Fall 2008

The Vera Bracken Library is currently seeking applicants for positions as Library Shelvers. These are ideal jobs for students wanting to make a little more money over the school year. The closing date for applications is 2 September 2008. For more information about the shelvers' positions, click here.

Additionally, students can apply for the position as a Library Clerk III - Audio Visual. Applications for this position are accepted until 22 August 2008.

Atomic Learning Added to Databases

Atomic Learning has been added to Medicine Hat College Library Services databases collection. Atomic Learning provides over 35,000 short video tutorials for more than 100 software applications. Some of the applications include those in Adobe Creative Suite, Apple iLife, Blackboard (for instructors and students), Microsoft Office 2007, and more. Additionally, many are accompanied by closed captioning and do-it-yourself downloadable tutorials for a hands-on approach to learning the applications.

August Library Closures

The Vera Bracken and Brooks Campus libraries will be closed on Monday, August 4^th and Wednesday, August 20^th for Heritage Day and College Day, respectively. On Wednesday, August 27^th, the Vera Bracken Library will be closed at 4:30 p.m.
