Annotated Bibliography Guides Revised

Library Services has revised its handouts regarding how to create annotated bibliographies in the American Psychological Association's (APA) and Modern Language Association's (MLA) citation styles for academic papers.

The handouts, which are located in the How-to and Research Guides section of Library Services' website, are now available individually. Each of the two guides contains explanations and scaled examples of how annotated bibliographies will be formatted.

It should be noted that the APA does not have a prescribed methodology for creating annotated bibliographies. To this end we have suggested that you use the footnoting/end-noting technique that is permissible in the APA style. This technique was described as, "a creative adaption of APA Style," by the APA on Twitter.
