Library Staff Fundraise for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Medicine Hat

Over the past weekend, the Library Lofters (our bowling team) participated in the annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of Medicine Hat's Bowl for Kids' Sake charity. To that end, the Lofters raised nearly $300 for the event.

Thanks to Sheila Drummond, Lilian Li, Carly Ridgewell, Anne Scott, and Keith Walker - the Library Lofters - for their fundraising efforts.

Ropin' the Blues 2007

Every year Medicine Hat College holds a themed event to elevate the spirits of staff and students during the chilly winter season. In previous years it was called Beach the Blues, but this year we have the country/western themed Ropin' the Blues.

Library Services staff readily embraced the event and went all out with the theme: Little Library on the Prairie. The Vera Bracken Library was decorated and the patrons were served biscuits and lemonade.

Other departments on campus decorated their work areas as well. The Global Tourism & Marketing department hosted its annual mini tourism expo, and a chili cook-off was held outside the Rattlers Den (the campus pub).
