it is always giddy my rich child...

it is always giddy my rich child...
"it is always giddy"
sighs the wind
you my child,
are rich of all,
blone the hair,
golde the soul,
blue the eyes,
rose the lips.
you my child are all so rich,
you my child,
you are like me,
you my child,
my counterpart.
hateful i vomit myself out,
i vomit you out,
owt out
through space,
(for)ever.
new year's eve...

///

so no, so now, so forever.

///
may i introduce myself to you.
i am annabell lee.
dead since the 19th century.
i was such young, beloved (and loved) when i died.
the sea remebered
but the wind hushed
so no,
so now,
so forever.
-a.

///
schleichend breitet sich die kälte aus,
erst nur zart gehüllt um die spitzen,
süßlich und fragil.
nun jedoch stärker,
ergreifender,
in anspruch nehmender,
dominanter,

annabel lee by edgar allan poe

It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of ANNABEL LEE;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;
But we loved with a love that was more than love-
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her highborn kinsman came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.

The angels, not half so happy in heaven,
Went envying her and me-
Yes!- that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.

But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we-
Of many far wiser than we-
And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee.

For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling- my darling- my life and my bride,
In the sepulchre there by the sea,
In her tomb by the sounding sea.

finally i have christmas holiday.

altes gut aufpoliert
und poppig in bunten farben.

...a ghost.

tear out the page with the picture of some shoes.

IMPORTANT: Database Updates!

With hard economic times, come hard economic realities that libraries must face. Due to provincial cutbacks in funding to the Lois Hole Campus Alberta Digital Library (LHCADL), Medicine Hat College Library Services will no longer have access to certain database resources that allow our patrons to access journal, magazine, and newspaper articles.

The databases that we will lose access to include:
  • Catholic Periodical and Literature Index (EBSCO)

  • Child Development & Adolescent Studies (EBSCO)

  • Communication and Mass Media Complete (EBSCO)

  • Family & Society Studies Worldwide (EBSCO)

  • Garden, Landscape & Horticulture Index (EBSCO)

  • Gender Studies Database (EBSCO)

  • Health and Wellness Resource Center (EBSCO)

  • Hospitality & Tourism Complete (EBSCO)

  • International Political Science Abstracts (EBSCO)

  • LGBT Life with Full Text (EBSCO)

  • Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts with Full Text (EBSCO)

  • Literature Online (LION; ProQuest)

  • New Testament Abstracts Online (EBSCO)

  • Old Testament Abstracts Online (EBSCO)

  • OmniFile Full Text, Mega Edition (H. W. Wilson)

  • Professional Development Collection (EBSCO)

  • ProQuest Education Journals (ProQuest)

  • ProQuest Science Journals (ProQuest)

  • Religion & Philosophy Collection (EBSCO)

  • Sociological Collection (EBSCO)

  • Vocational & Career Collection (EBSCO)

  • Wildlife & Ecology Studies Worldwide (EBSCO)

  • World History Collection (EBSCO)
Thanks to the college’s membership with The Alberta Library (TAL) which allows access to a number of databases in common with other libraries in the province, and with the databases that the library purchases on its own, the college will still have a wide range of databases that cover the programs taught at Medicine Hat College.

Databases that we will add to supplement our content include:
  • Education Full Text (H. W. Wilson)

  • General Science Full Text (H. W. Wilson)

  • Humanities Full Text (H. W. Wilson)

  • Index to Legal Periodicals Full Text (H. W. Wilson)

  • Library Literature & Information Science Full Text (H. W. Wilson)

  • OmniFile Full Text, Select Edition (H. W. Wilson)

  • Political Science Complete (EBSCO)

  • Readers' Guide Full Text (H. W. Wilson)

  • Social Sciences Full Text (H. W. Wilson)

  • Wilson Business Full Text (H. W. Wilson)
These changes will be effective January 1, 2010.

Though there is a net loss of resources that might seem somewhat drastic, MHC Library Services’ administration has worked to ensure that the most comprehensive and critical resources are maintained to maximize the quality and quantity of academic literature that is available to our patrons. Despite the losses, you can still expect the same level of professionalism and service provided by the staff of Library Services as we move forward in the current economic environment.

If you have concerns regarding these matters, please contact Keith Walker (Director, Library Services) at: kwalker@mhc.ab.ca, or by telephone at: 403-529-3867.

IM & Text Services - Seasonal Closures

The Library Online Agents instant messaging service and the text messaging service will be unavailable from December 24, 2009 until January 3, 2010. Both of these services will return to operation on January 4, 2010 for the Winter Semester.

We thank our patrons that have made these online services a success over the past semesters, and we look forward to serving you in the new year.

New Materials Lists Updated - November 2009

Library Services has posted its new materials lists for the month of November 2009. The lists can be found at: http://www.mhc.ab.ca/library/New Materials/.

an effort from a tiny, rosy thing to break-out of all these plastic layers...

everything around me is made of fake plastic.
i can't feel my heart 'cause it's just cheap plastic.
i can't feel my feet soles because they are made out of fake plastic.
i scream but nobody can hear it 'cause the fake plastic bubbly arround me is soundproof
and i hate it,
and i love it,
and i want it,
and i need it,
and i repent it,
and i satisfy it.
i'm made of plastic but i still have fun.
wenn sie weinte fühlte sie das glück in ihrem herzen.
