strange and new.
i couldn't discribe it in words...
sometimes when i lying alone in my bed
i feel it, it's like luck and hurt.
...
i experiment with the layout. what is your favourite? the old or the new one? i'm not sure and i will try some other things...

Office Ultimate 2007 Deal for $64 Still On

You can still get Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 for as low as $64 CAD; and yes, this is a legitimate offer. At present, Office 2008 for Mac is not offered as part of this promotion.

How good of a deal is this? To buy Microsoft Office Professional at the Campus Store, it will cost you approximately $250. Office Professional includes the 2007 versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher, and Accounting Express. Office Ultimate includes the entire Professional bundle, but also includes InfoPath, Groove, and OneNote. To buy Office Ultimate 2007 at regular retail price, you could spend in excess of $900.

The Ultimate Steal offer ends 31 December 2010 -- though Microsoft reserves the right to terminate the promotion at any time. To get the deal, go to www.theultimatesteal.ca to check for pricing and qualifications.

summer 2009, a hotel in the middle of nowhere, berlin.

i spy
you spy
we all spy sometimes.....

it's autumn, it's in the forest, it's where the wild things are...

blank magazine & where the wild things are

i can't wait to see this movie. i'm so excited about it. will be a great movie for sure.
i also love the whole mood, the 'style'.
and it's so easy to get it.
([{the 'where the wild things are style' remebers me of so many things like forester, fever rays song 'when i grow up', lumberjacks, bears, the whole feeling, everything i like.}])
you only need the men's corner (or a friend, boyfriend, brother, dad, grandpa with good taste), a bit of your owns and the wild forest fall mood. oh and of course you need those long johns.

APA 6th ed. Handouts now available . . .

Library Services has revised its handouts that are related to the American Psychological Association's (APA) style of citation. The revisions were made in order to correspond to the changes that were made for the 6th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. The revisions are now available online and print versions will be available later this week.

As with the previous edition, the first printing of the manual contains—what are arguably—numerous contradictions, errors, inaccuracies, and oversights. The guides that the library has produced have tried to compensate for these variables as much as possible. As the APA clarifies the revised style over the coming weeks, months, and years, the library will modify its documents accordingly. Should there be any modifications to the guides, a notice will be posted.

To access the current version of the handouts in PDF format, select the following links:

To view other guides that the library produces, including the revised Modern Language Association (MLA) guides and Word versions (.docx) of the aforementioned guides, please click here.

For additional resources regarding the APA style, please browse the following sources:

WEB RESOURCES:
  • APA Style.org - There are numerous resources including basic information, sample papers, tutorials, and more.

  • APA Style Blog - This blog posts weekly special topics on the APA style. There are often comments and responses made through this blog that will aid in clarifying details about the revised style.
To prevent any confusion between the 5th and 6th editions of the APA Publication Manual, the previous guides are no longer directly linked to from our Web site. If you bookmarked the previous guides, please update your links.

If you have any comments, concerns, or questions, please direct them to the Information Desk in the Vera Bracken Library (e-mail: reference@mhc.ab.ca).

Streaming Media Services Limited

Some of you might have noticed that access to streaming media sites (e.g., YouTube, Google Videos, etc.) is currently being limited in areas of the college. Due to bandwidth restrictions beyond the college's control, certain restrictions have been placed on these media sites. Streaming media sites will only be accessible from 4:30 p.m.–midnight each day. Certain streaming media (e.g., Internet radio and television) will remain blocked.

Streaming media services that the college and Library Services subscribe to will not be affected. This includes resources such as Atomic Learning and unitedstreaming [Discovery Education]—you can discover more information about each source by clicking here.

The college's Information Technology Services (ITS) department is currently working with the college's Internet service provider to resolve this issue in as timely a manner as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate and ask for your patience in the meantime. A notice will be posted as soon as regular Internet service is restored.

i once had a girl, or should i say, she once had me. she showed me her room, isn't it good, norwegian wood?

I once had a girl, or should I say, she once had me.
She showed me her room, isn't it good, norwegian wood?
She asked me to stay and she told me to sit anywhere,
So I looked around and I noticed there wasn't a chair.
I sat on a rug, biding my time, drinking her wine.
We talked until two and then she said, "It's time for bed."
She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh.
I told her I didn't and crawled off to sleep in the bath.
And when I awoke I was alone, this bird had flown.
So I lit a fire, isn't it good, norwegian wood.

which season we have is irrelevant. he said. oh, do you really think so? she asked and wrinkles her forehead...

is it sand? is it snow?
we don't know, no we don't know...
innerspace or outerspace.
sun or moon?
fake or real?
oh we don't know.
no, we don't know.
